youth is wasted on the youth...league

Can you hear the faint rustle of tumble weeds rolling in the August winds.Oh where are they you say, I think I hear them coming from the vast, arid, ghost town that once housed Julius Malema's mouth!

I just cannot stop thinking, "Bad things happen when people stand by and are ambivalent."

Our nation's teachers are striking.Which means, weeks before prelims and lest we forget Matric finals, students are not being taught. There is no revision and then we will all marvel at poor pass rates.POOR  pass rates of a system that these very striking teachers were not trained on themselves. So they must teach, what they themselves DO NOT know! How is this possible?! Striking for wages. Okay I understand that some of the most important professions in our society are the most underpaid and taken for granted, but with teaching comes such great responsibility. The responsibility of educating a nation, is the greater cause not perhaps bigger, than the marginally better wage?Perhaps this is a discussion to expand on another time.

I am wondering if you too are not marvelling at how eerily quiet the ANC YOUTH LEAGUE, moreover Julius Malema is over this CRISIS. This is really a YOUTH CRISIS, as the youth in our country are without education. Help me here, am I misguided, did I miss a comment he may have whispered in passing about how DIRE this situation is that the youth of the country are without education, even for a minute.

What exactly is the mandate or rather concern of a youth league then? Am I mistakenly assuming that youth issues should feature foremost in their agenda.Education being key. This is not a matter of discussing Julius' prowess  in the art of sanding wood, but rather why would he choose to overlook a matter of such importance from my view.

Is this not when he should be making the most noise.Or is his calculated vessel now conveniently empty and has fallen silent? I am baffled?! Here he and the whole ANC youth league, please let us not lay this in the hands of Julius alone, heaven forbid he might be busy with working on his sawing skills, the youth league as a whole has uttered not a peep.Did Floyd Shivambu say something being the spokesperson, perhaps he had a general comment on their behalf. I guess I may have overlooked that too.

While I understand the matter of those ill in hospitals and the imminent casualties that loom with regard to the absence of proper health care available. The far reaching casualty of a far greater, epidemic illness of non education of our nation's young people is something of national importance.

Education is vital! What do the youth need to know of cars and fancy materials that can be repossesed or queried by SARS!?Noone reposses a mind.Often some are even kept for posterity and become matter (yes brain matter) of great importance to future generations from the secrets still held within.

This is not a question of blame, but a desperate question asking why is the ANC youth league not concerned about the youth? For nothing else, do it for the sake of good PR for heavens sake! Rally your troops of which there are many.Forget the conferences and the caucuses, how about some CONCERN! Get involved and gather these same comrades and have them all rally around schools in their respective neighbourhoods helping with revision, at least just supervising classes while pupils just do revision or catch up.This would be the perfect time for students to catch up or get extra lessons, so by the time the end of the year comes they are ready to move onto the next standard or next level of their education.

Let's give dear Julius a chance, maybe for once he is actually thinking before speaking. This is what I'm secretly hoping though in reality, I'm not too sure he has even cast a brain fart in this regard.

This is distressing news indeed my young friends. This is a matter of grave, youth-FULL importance.A day wasted of no learning is many a day lost for the advancement of our nation.Youth have the energy, the drive, but moreover the DUTY to take ACTION. That's what is key. To take action and get the job done.We all can do something.

Positive action my dear youth league posse is what will win you votes in your EVER waning popularity. What are you doing to inspire the youth?Youth to be great, positively contributing, well rounded, smart, sassy young men and women, who add to society.Julius and your posse, forget nationalisation of mine.Who are you speaking to there?!Not the youth. Not this desperate, desolate, disenchanted youth, majority of whom can barely spell national let alone nationalise!Forget petty pennies, the wealth of a nation rests in the wealth of its KNOWLEDGE.

Youth needn't be wasted on the young, if the youth rise and take action.Youth leagues, not just the ANC shouldn't waste this opportunity to lead positively.Every small gesture all leads to a greater gain. Now is the time to speak, your silence serves noone. You are lucky enough to have the platform.Use it!

Today I was educated that Canderel, really doesn't cause cancer or Gulf War Disease (I have no clue what that is, but I will get one after this.) among other ailments associated with Aspartame. It turns out, it's a tri-factor amino acid. It comprises of 3 amino acids, so really it's just synthetic protein. That's not so scary is it.Well your body just breaks it down like a protein, which we all know is really not poison.

I must say I was the main person saying, oh no, NO sweetners!Hey we all aren't really sure what causes cancer, but if they tell us something might, I'm not taking ANY chances.Funny how quite a few of us, really believed this rather without checking what allegedly started from what seems to be paramount to a hoax email!Wow!Strange thing though is I'm still not too certain I don't believe it doesn't cause cancer. It's all conditioned I guess.I just have to uncondition it I guess.Uncondition the whole grimace and comment about the cancer they're pouring into their cup.

I'm thinking that  it's also a really interesting greater life comment thing. How we just get stuck on things we haven't seen and take them as truth. So really just spreading stuff we aren't even sure is true.I can't say where I heard the little tit bit that Canderel and well all other artificial sweetners cause cancer, but it does seem to have blown out of control.Maybe it might just be a note to self to say, unless I was there, or I can see really proper evidence from a variety of credible research sources,am I really sure what I'm spreading or believing is the "truf" hey?!

Before you wonder whether I'm getting paid for this little mind wonder, my next comment will put you at ease. I'm glad to know it doesn't cause cancer, but I don't like the taste of Canderel or any other sweetner. It's not natural and that's not my vibe.I like my sugar brown and unrefined, maybe like my men.Ha ha, not quite! It's a matter of personal taste really, but it's good that my choice is now a little more informed.

So that's my bit, Canderel doesn't cause cancer, this I found out and that's what I've been told, don't know about other sweetners and don't know if I will check.

Sweetners,  not for me though, Canderel or any kind.Twice as sweet as sugar and no better or no worse for you.I like to keep it real! ha ha!(Oh I did just say that didn't I.) But no cancer, that's sweet!

It's almost like breaking up with a really sweet guy. Sweet he is, but just not your kind of sweet.
